These pictures were taken late this afternon. I put a five-gallon bucket behind each one to help show each weed as well as their height.

Regarding the 2nd pic, please ignore the crabgrass.

    rscvp, Thanks!:usflag:

I was guessing 1) giant foxtail, 2) some kind of panicum??

I'm too lazy to visit a bunch of university websites, plus I figure it's fun to see what everybody else thinks these are.

Thanks.......waiting for more guesses, cuz I surely don't know.

    Foxtail and Kentucky bluegrass.

The second weed can't be Johnson Grass. Johnson Grass has a white mid vein. That's the easiest way to identify it.

    Riggle is on the money!

The best way to tell if it is giant fox is to pull the leaf back and look over it....it should be very hairy!

When the seed heads are that obvious...no more info is needed.

    But yes you are correct.

That is why I asked the question about the leaf on the giant! But the yellow foxtail head is much shorter!

Cool! I know the pictures sucked. You know your foxtail for sure. ("Giant" foxtail). But how 'bout the fall panicum??? Is it? Thanks much.
