I have several lawns that are so bumpy I almost have to visit the dentist every time I mow. Is there a way to flaten these lawns out?

I think CAT makes a nice 20 ton roller.... You might need a Tractor Trailer to get it to the lawn though.

Yea lower your tire pressure. What mower you using? Does it have a seat with built in springs to cushion the bumps?

mighty if it's due to tree roots,
do yourself a favor and mulchbed that area, and keep the mower clear of it.

In addition to whatever you try to flatten it, check all of the bolts on your mower including the engine. My carb. bolts loosened when I mowed a really bumpy lawn.

I was thinking a Cat D5 to regrade the lawn.

Has any one ever used a roller on a lawn? Would it hurt a sprinkler system?

I would steer clear of the heads of the sprinklers, other than that, you should be fine.

A large roller would'nt hurt the lawn though?

I would really apprecate suggestions for fixing it also. A nieghbour of a customer called me over about fixing his bumpy lawn, its not bumpy due to a z being on it, just bumpy. It occured to me that if I brought if 5 yards (front lawn 2k) and spread it out and seeded it would help but after settling he would still have small bumps. (a complaint waiting to happen) I passed on the job but would love to hear suggestions.
