I am working on a letter to mail to our customers about the services we currently are rendering to their property. We would like to talk about the importance of proper fertilization and weed control to try and expand our field in that part to our current customers. Anyone have any paragraphs or anything willing to share to help save me a little bit of time of trying to dig up and scratch my head of what would appear to be the most appealing to the customer and maybe get them interested in these services?

If you can't explain to the customer about a service you offer then maybe pass until you study up more on it. Are you licensed to manage weed control chemicals? I think you are not certified, if you were, you'd know what to explain to the customer. If you are certified, how did you ever get the license?

Yes licensed, and yes I can explain, easier verbally then in text. Just looking for if anyone has done anything like this and have sugar-coated the choice of words and what worked the best for them.

We have previously offered this service to our customers just in a simple sum of the services we are able to offer and we would also gain accounts for this from people seeing us treat the lawn but know we mow it etc. and want to know if we are able to offer just the fertilization and weed control as a service. We found a lot of people mow their lawn because they enjoy it, or can't afford $150-$300+ a month, but they attempted to fertilize their lawn once, and they knew they did something wrong because of dark green blotches or stripes in their lawn but couldn't figure out what they did wrong, and a say $60 application is affordable and worth it to them. We also found this has grown our network just from people seeing our quality in this oppossed to the only other service provider TruGreen who is about quantity. We have gained other customers, landscape installs, maintenance contracts from building our networking with just fertilization and weed control accounts. The bigger your network the more likeliness of getting referrals and adding more clientele. Someone who is contemplating about _________ to be done at their property and knows a good friend who recommends a company goes farther than then going through yellowpages and calling random companies they know nothing about.
We have never marketed this field, pushed it, or explained the importance of quality fertilizing lawn care and the difference in our company versus our large corporate franchised competitors.

I think I am okay now though, been a rushing morning and posted before I sat down to brain storm. I came up with the difference in our products method of application (granular and not liquid) and a few important key steps in lawn care and the advantages of utilizing our company. It's a little long, was looking for something short and sweet but they will get over it.
