Personally, I don't 'enjoy' a 3/4 ton. If I did, I'd need a proper psych evaluation over spending $20K on a used Porsche or similar vehicle that I can enjoy. Going used for a heavier truck can pose a lot of problems. You might luck out and get one that doesn't cost you a dime for a few years. Or, you'll buy it, and within 6 months have to replace the front suspension components, get a few alignments done so your used tires don't wear out prematurely due to uneven wear. Getting used is an open market and you can save, but you might not get the piece of mind and blame the vehicle, or the manufacturer for the problems versus previous owner abuse that is often overlooked.
