Hey man this is kinda off topic but I noticed you live in hawaii, I was just thought it would be cool if you started a pic thread of some of your work and equipment. Sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread just curious.

We take short trips over the summer. Like a Friday thru Monday kinda trip. I dont get too far behind this way.
I am usually in the application forum. Sorry not a mowing guy. But you can see some of my work and toys if you search my posts.
We also get away for long weekends camping. Its nice sitting on the beach and just relaxing watching the kids and not worrying about the grass.
i always take a long weekend, take friday thru monday off.
Im a solo opp, I bust my ace, then sneak away wed-sun to go camping. I do that twice a summer. Winter I plow snow, but try and sneak away for a couple snowmobiling trips, but if theres a chance of snow here, I cant go.
one week in the summer and weekends at the lake an hour away (when possible) work your arse off the week before try to show your employees a little trust in getting some work done and then work your arse off the week after vacation to catch everything up before it looks bad. In other words I'm wore out by the time i get on vacation wore out from vacation and really wore out a week after vacation, I suffer from vacation but the wife and kids really look forward to it so it works. Winter vacations are out of the question never know when it will snow and if I'm laiyng at the beach somewhere there will be alot of mad customers
Ive been both solo and run with employees.... I take a vacation every year in Aug when its hot and dry, lawns slow down in growth and I leave for 1 week... I cut 60lawns or so in 2 days and then come back and start the next week 1 day late, customers are 100% ok with it. I mail out a nice letter explaining there lawn will be cut early that week and up to 1 day late the following week. Never had anyone complain about it since during the rest of the season I am always on a scheduled day heck they basically know what time im showing up within 5mins each day
