is a vole and mole the same thing ?
A vole is a rodent also called a meadow mouse. They eat a variety of grasses and plants and will eat bark off plants in winter. Voles are also active day and night year round. Moles are not rodents but are relatives to insectivores like shrews and hedgehogs. Moles feed mainly on earthworms. They will also eat insect larva like grubs. Moles are rarely seen above ground as they tunnel underground looking for food.
So i have not been incorrect when i see those paths under the snow and say it was mice
No, not necessarily. they are a form of mouse. Like field mice...One form of voles are also called potato mice.
