how much productive would a 48" exmark lazer be than a 48" exmark metro hp? seems the rider mows faster? wanting input for those of you who have used both----

hasn't this been beaten to death with a stick yet?

each machine will out perform the other in seperate areas.

a walker is a better choice for hills
a ztr is a better choice for wide open flats.

I Think The rider Will have More HP, So you Can Mow Faster.

I personally feel that a w/b makes a nicer cut, but takes longer.

Depends on the type lawns and grass. I have recently had to mow with a 44" belt drive and velke while my 48" lazer was in the shop. I have consistently been beating my time on site by about 5 minutes/lawn on small/medium properties. The faster turning and ability to take curves around obstacles faster seems to be the key. Of course my legs hurt more at night now.

I would still never sell the ZTR. Fatigue is a factor out there.

I have owned both and I feel, IMHO, it depends on YOUR particular situation. For ME a w/b with sulky works best. If I had nothing but open areas I think I would prefer the Z. Unfortunately I mow alot of slopes, so like I said overall a w/b works best for ME.
