I have a 48 inch deck on my hustler walk behind that was in need of
your weight kit(46 pounds). The problem being that that front end
would always raise upon start or turning.

I ordered the kit from my dealer with the understanding the price was 65.00.
Upon arrival the kit was 89.00, 9.00 freight, plus tax. No hardware was
sent with it, and I was told to buy the bolts and nuts locale.

This seems like a lot of money for a piace of steel, just wanted to
know if this is the price.

Here is the info you are looking for straight out of our price sheet, located here > http://www.lawnsite.com/showpost.php?p=1194925&postcount=3
    Weight - 47 lbs. Part # 304204 MSRP = $90
So I would say you are ok with the price unless the dealer mis-quoted you.
And you are correct, this weight does not come with any hardware, we do not provide hardware due to the fact that you could add more than 1 and you would need different length bolts.

I have the same weight kit on my 37WB. Go to a metal shop and see if they will cut and drill a piece of steel for the same price. I dont think so.
