Next season I am looking for 15-20 residential accounts, and maybe a couple of small commercial. Currently, I am using a 38"LawnBoy ZTR and it just isnt going to cut it for next season.
I am trying to decide on a 36"or48" wb, most of the yards are 1/4to1/2 acre. I'm thinking about a scag hydro or an exmarkViking, trying to go used. I will need something to cut down on my time, but also something to fit through gates unless I have to push em. Let me know what you think.

i think the 48'' scag hydro is a great choice, it may not fit threw the gates but it is a great mower. make sure to get a kawasaki engine very well built easy to work on if you ever need to.

If you just want one mower to do fronts and backs without having to grab a 21, then I would go with the 36. Itll get in most gates and on small yards you wont lose much time as compared to the 48.

If you are looking to fit through gates, the 36" mower is the way to go. You might even consider looking into a 32".

    Thanks guys for the advice.
Iam starting to lean more towards the 36" and go bigger with a Z in the future.

36, what good is a 48 if you can't get it into the back yard? No brainer. You can always add bigger later if the accounts justify bigger.

A 36 won't fit into many of the gated yards around here. You have to judge that by the average gate size in your area. I would go with the 48.
