i have one it is light hollow inside and still very durable only leave it on deck to transport , not all the time it raises your feet up too much my one and only complaint is it was expensive but i feel that way about many good and well used tools so they are in the end worth the extra cost
I made one out of wood 3 years ago and its still good. A peice of 2x8,2x6,2x4 x 48" long, screwed togeather with wood screws. Its heavy but I carry it on the trailer and use it when needed.I made special foot rests so I can streach out my legs and also gives me a place to brace myself on steep areas. They are in the way of the Walker foot rest.
just a regular 4x4 will do..you only need it to get the right wheel up on the curb..angle your mower so that the left wheel goes up first then bring the right wheel up onto the curb ..we only use the 4x4 to get the diesel up on the curb, the brace that protects the blower fan hits the curb ...the 20 hp doesn't need any help
The new black plastic ramp is in the local dealer hear and ok he'sthe only walker dealer in 100 miles maybe this is why he's selling them for$150.00 . oh by the way thi peice does not at all fit as snugly on the deck frames like i think it ought to it moves a lot bad on bouncey terain.
I would definitly cross this peice off my want list unless they come down on price and work on the fit.
