My 2000 model walker muffler rusted out. I called the dealer and ordered the muffler upgrade kit. I knew it would be fairly expensive. I think I paid about $150 for a kit about 3 years ago. When I went to pick it up they charged me $265. Wow. That hurt badly. Can the old style muffler be purchased anywhere?

everything is going up. Consider the cost of steel, fuel, labor and shipping 3 years ago, and what they are now. Mufflers of any machine tend to be expensive. almost 100 bucks for a muffler on a 15hp twin kawi which is just a metal can with a pipe and a clamp.........

Yes, I believe you can still get the old style mufflers. Ask your dealer to check.
