Hello all, I am looking to make a striping kit for my 48" walk behind. I already drilled 5 holes in the back of the deck by the baffles. The holes should be 1/4" in diameter. I would like to use some form of heavy duty rubber to make this kit. I will be going to HD tomorow to pick up supplies. What will I need? I don't need it to be perfect, it just has to hold up for the rest of the season.

I used about two layers of rubber DAHL wall base molding.
It was the only thing I could find besides the rubber bumper stuff they use for boat docks, and that only comes in 25' foot roles for like $50 bucks. That was 6'' wide and 1/4 inch thick.
Make sure you use large enough washers to hold it on, because they will tare right through the rubber if the washers are to small. Good luck.:)
Oh and its worked fine for me. The rubber wall base molding comes 4 inches wide and 1/8th inch thick. Lows here sells it in 4 foot strips. I had to cut about 1 1/2 inches off because 4 inches was to wide, had to much drag. And then shortened it for my 36''.
