I have been cutting lawns for 8 yrs now and do mostly residential work. How do I go about getting into more commercial work? More apartments and such.. Any suggestions

Start knocking on doors just like you did to get the res. accounts. You will need to start with the smaller businesses to begin with.

Commercial is the go, but still need some quality residentials.

Just talk to the manager of the commercial places, he can help you. Best to check out the prop. first so when you talk to him it shows you have genuine interest. Try to get a personal meeting with him/her too after the phone call, they usually say likes and dislikes of their current guy.

Like I said you need to start with the smaller ones first and work your way up. If you have no track record of commercial properties you will find it tough to get the larger accounts.
