Just a quick word to the newbies and a reminder for those that have been mowing awhile. Watch out for the heavy frost and do not run the mowers on it! I speak from experience...last year I mowed a highly visible lawn while it was heavily frosted. I had done it before and had no problems, but this time it left these nasty brown (damaged grass) streaks everywhere the Walker went.
I was never so happy to see the rest of the grass go dormant and turn brown. It took about a month and every time I drove by I was reminded of my stupid mistake. I won't be making that mistake this year.

I learned that a few years ago also. Whats worse is having the old style Walker deck that doesn't tilt up full of frost into the chute. COOOOLLLDDD belly diggin that stuff out.

Don't feel bad, Currier. That reminds me of the time we saw the guys next door to where we worked come in and clogged their Snappers up with snow!
