    How is everyone,

I was curious to know what you would recomend for killing weeds and grass in an area that also has trees, shrubs and some flowers that need to stay alive (not so concerned with the flowers). I have spoke to several local people about it at lowes/home depot type stores and I am not sure if they know as much as a pro would.

round up would be best, it WILL kill flowers if contact is made, however round up will not leach into the soil and needs to contact the leafy portion of the plant to be effective, thus it will not effect the trees at all.

Roundup is a good choice. Cover the flowers with a plastic bag spray around them real close and pull the bags off immediately.
