is there anything i can use to keep the weeds away and not hurt the flowers,
thankyou
put down plastic sheeting cut holes in it twice as big as each plant
-nick
To late now, but try a pre-emergent next year.
pre-e kills some flowers
do you think once i pull the weeds....that i can put the stuff called preen down??and if so will that keep the weeds away?
Thankyou
scott
Plastic sheeting is not a good alternative as it keeps water from getting to the roots as well as makes the mulch slide. I cannot stand the fabrics either as after 2 or 3 seasons the mulch has decomposed enough to allow seed to germinate above and into the fabric. Get down and pull'm by hand...not a big deal if you stay on top of it.
