From November to middle of January most people have decorations for the holidays up and their house is loaded with crap for the holidays. Nobody wants to take and move everything out of the way to have walls painted and trim painted. I have a friend that Has been painting for 35 years. He sees that every year.

Last year I painted 2 houses for a customer with rental properties. I would like to get licensed and become a legitimate contractor but here in Maryland you need to work for someone for 2 years. All of 2018 every time I saw a painting company hiring I kept the info but come December nobody was hiring. I would like to keep busy painting every winter. I'm already a week behind with the lawns thanks to the flu. My plans this spring are gonna have to wait a little longer.

I got you beat unfortunately. In 2018 we couldnt start cleanups till April 30th. Then second week of May hit 70deg...

Never got fall cleans done. Many were done in the snow. Employee morale at an all time low.

Thankfully it snowed often this winter and kept us very busy We're past our season average. All I want is a cool dry April to get everything done before the growing season. About a foot of snow on the ground in many places. Hopefully will melt off fast.

You have to be a licensed contractor to paint?

funny how many of us turn to remodeling related winter gigs.
Been doing that for years now.
just finished some interior work-painting and some other stuff.
did this chest in a distressed finish and added some cool hardware.
