Last week near Fayetteville, a man was riding his ATV through an overgrown field and had a snake raise up at him. From his description to the local animal control people, they believe it was most likely a King Cobra. Now down in Jacksonville, NC, there appears to be possibly two more cobras on the loose.

They think it's an animal rights group setting them free to oppose people keeping exotic pets. Hard to run over these snakes when they raise their head up and spit venom in your face first. :dizzy:

Albery, get some snake boots!

I just read about it this morning. They're saying that someone had it as a pet and when they heard the authorities were coming, they released it. Why would anyone own a pet they would have to be scared of.

People are allowed to have exotic pets like cobras and such in nearby Franklin Co.. This is just north of Raleigh. I know a man up there who has several cobras and other extremely dangerous snakes. But he loves and respects snakes and would never release one in the wild like that.

It's a wonder this hasn't happened in the US before and they actually mated.
