What do y’all tow with?

2002 Duramax. I’m just here to show off my truck because it’s pretty.
You can pull a mowing trailer with just about anything. I’d stay clear of SUVs unless you’ve got a toolbox on your trailer, and I’m of the mindset that if you’re ever towing anything you’re better off with a 3/4 ton or 1 ton diesel. Not that you have to have it, but it’s nice to have when you need to tow something bigger.
MPG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Towing is hardly ever the issue
The trailer does that
It’s stopping the trailer.
If you’ve got trailer brakes, the trailer also does that.
Lighter things , on a single axle trailer, nearly anything can tow that.

most small boats are towed around by suvs and even mini vans and a small boat weighs far more than your typical solo mow set up.
What’s the “big thing” you’re going to suddenly need a diesel to tow with?

“oh crap! We have to drive big foot to the monster truck rally and all I have to pull the trailer is this suv?”

that kind of stuff just doesn’t happen.
“In case I need it”….

people get all excited over the word “tow” and think unexpected things are going to suddenly need to be hauled.
You’re not running a recovery business, it’s just cutting grass

That’s a lot of words to say you didn’t understand my comment.

I’ll hit the high points of my comment:

1. “You can pull a mowing trailer with just about anything.”
I see we’re in agreement.
2. “I’m of the mindset...”
That means it’s my opinion based on my personal experience.
3. “Not that you have to have it..”
That means I don’t believe my opinion to be the best option for everyone.
4. “it’s nice to have..”
It’s my preference.

Reasoning for my personal opinion: I don’t just cut grass, and I’m able to offer more than just cutting grass because I’m able to tow more than just a mowing trailer. Here’s some more pictures of my truck pulling more than a mowing trailer ;)

You were close about big foot though, so here’s pictures of some of our past mud trucks because I also think they’re pretty and just like showing off my trucks. I’ve towed those to the mud park with my completely unnecessary truck. Everyone needs a hobby, right?

Also, you’d be appalled by my husband’s dually. What does he think he needs that for?!?

Oh, and sometimes we do a bit of recovery when a truck breaks down, here’s a picture :)

It seems to me that we’re in agreement about why I need a diesel, I’m just not sure why you think that’s such a bad thing. I just wanted to post a picture of my truck because I like it and I’m proud of it, but I thought I made it clear that it wasn’t necessary for everyone, just my preference.
