Hey guys, I need some help on getting set up for spraying this year. So far I have 2 push spreaders(lesco), and a 200 gallon spray tank with 400 foot hose. I recently hooked up with a friend that needs about 1,000,000 square feet of property to spray/spread and now need to either buy a ride on unit or another 200 gal. tank to be able to handle this much square footage. My partner and I will be doing all of the work and are considering turning one of our turf tigers into a spray unit, or should we buy a perma-green unit?

We are looking for advice on what will be better, we do properties from 5000-350,000 square feet.

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks for the help

If you dont need the turf tiger, then talk to LGF. He makes some really nice looking sprayers that mount on the Zs. Here is one of the sprayers he built:

    LGF or Mac

This unit looks great. However I am wondering about the tank being too high for doing hill work??? I built a Walker unit but could not use it because in turned over on me. Tank was in tray over the engine. But then Walkers are three wheels. The Walker commercially made units I have seen are 4 wheels. How does this one hang on hills???

actually i think the walker units you are speaking of just has two fat tires on the back instead of one. And i have heard of alot of people flipping them over. The above units look good, i operate the larger of the z-spray units and it covers ground real good. It holds 2.5 bags of fert in the spreader, and another two in storage compartment in the rear. It also holds 30 gallons of liquid, but i understand they have a new one with two twenty gallons tanks and maybe a bigger spreader too. check it out ( z-spray.com) great people to work with, answer all your questions. And maybe even come do a demonstration for you. just my 2 cents.....but that turf tiger looks good too.

Another option would be to get a 4 wheel drive ATV. You could use it for spraying/ spreading & get a plow blade for winter work. It depends on your locale. Also I've even seen guys use Gators & other similar vehicles for spraying & spreading fert. Just a couple other options.
