What Is The Cheapest Fill?

    I designing a new mulch bed for a customer and she wants a mulch bed made in this area that has about a 3 foot depression (slope) and im looking for a cheap fill, what do you suggest I use to fill, for the best price to the customer.

    Top soil would be better for a little bit more money, and you're not using that much.

    anything unscreened is cheaper, but I wouldn't suggest it

    I'd use screened loam. Even if it costs a little more. The client will be happier when they decide they want to plant in the bed and you say that you already prepared for that by filling with screened loam. Shows you are thinking of the client's best interest.
