Where do I get the surfactant? I've never heard of this before.
Lesco, Regal Chemical, Helena, Pro Source one are a few vendors. A farm supply store would be another option
Or you can do a search on Spreader Sticker.
Hope this helps.
yea or u can get the product called dismissed from lecsco way better then sedgehammer but it cost about 50 bucks more but it work way better a 2 day kill and gone for ever
Lesco told me the sedgehammer should start killing it off in a week or so.
Manage and MSMA work too. any liquid dish soap will work as a surfactant and it does make a diff. concur the bit about the water also, if lots of nutgrass around you can back the sprinklers off some.
I called Lesco this afternoon and they told me the same thing (dish soap). It's like I told her-I don't need a gallon of the stuff.
yea it works but it take around 10-17 days for the kill but, the thing is that it can still come back and this new product dismiss is bad ass i was using manage and then sedgehammer for about 1 yr and i just switch to dismissed way better
Thanks for the replies. I used a single package of Sedgehammer to treat 1000 sq ft worth and about 7-8 days later, it's turning a yellowish brown and hasn't grown probably more than 1/2" taller than the grass around it, whereas the stuff would already have 6-8" more growth than the grass.
Now, is there a product that produces the same results for clover, crabgrass, and broadleaf?
I wouldn't make any special efforts to kill crabgrass right now.. Since the weather is beginning to change, there's no reason to spend $$ on crabgrass treatment.
Now is the time for prevention (for next year) i.e. preemergents. Demension, Barricade, are good preemergents..
Do a search on clover and broadleaf recommendations..
Hope this helps..
Drive will absolutely smoke the clover, and its primary use is for crabgrass removal.
You could use that now but realize the crab will be dying off quickly at the first frost.
