I see all the threads about people asking if this or that is a good deal when they are thinking of buying a business. And people think equipment is worth garage sale prices and the customers worth one month revenue at best.

So what is YOURS worth? Describe what you have and a approximate value.

The simple rule is 2 times income minus (expenses and liablities) plus assets.

Problem is most people have nothing but Good Will of their customers for income.
Thus most people discount the value of the client base.

    Mower - $10,000

    Truck - $37,500

    Trailer - $6,000

    Owning your own business......PRICELESS!!

My business is worth 85 million dollars, but I will sell it to you for only half of what it is worth.:)

I would say my business is not worth much according to what is said on here.

But I kind of agree with what is said on here if someone is going out of business there is no guarantee that customers will stay with you. My trucks aren't worth much, but we bring in BIG MONEY. With that said I think I could only Get $20,000 or so for my business, but gross sales is about 5 times that or more.

It's really not worth a heck of alot with Market conditions, if someone gets word you are going out of business all they have to do is advertise to your customers, then they will have some of the accounts that they would've paid top dollar for.

Equipment and trucks are the only thing that hold alot of value in this business.
