What it’s going on with my lawn

I am not sure if this isnlawn disease
, heat, or do to the water sprinkler not hitting these areas. I do make sure each week I got 1.5 inches down. If this is disease what is the best product to use and can you apply during a 90degree weather week or apply at night while it is cooler.

Bugs n grubs imo, the tractor just magnifies it. Shoot it with some sevin if you confirm.

I’ve had this problem year after year. I am now doing bandaid work by pulling up the dead thatch and sowing annual rye grass which will be hardy enough to grow in this heat..
A lot of it looks like heat, drought stress. Can see lines from mowing that damaged grass.
