What size mowers did you start up with when your business was new to the lawn care industry.I don't have a very big start up budget but i'm ready to do it and I have a will to succeed attitude.

i started with a Craftsman DLT2000 48" kohler. it was/is great actually. everyone always slams them but i still use it once-in-a-while. it's a two pedal automatic. runs pretty quick and stripes awesome w/o a kit. ive got over 1000 hrs on it and nothing has happened to it.

I started with a Honda Harmony 36" (or 38”… don’t really know) 9 HP (it was one of the older riding tractors, not push). That was the biggest piece of junk ever. I moved to a John Deere L130 48"/23 hp kohler. Pretty nice machine and that’s where I’m at now. Strips awesome with no kit.

I’m moving up to all commercial equipment. I just bought a Red Max 7001 backpack blower. I'm hoping to buy an exmark lazer soon…

    I had a 14 hp / 36" riding JCPenny garden tractor.

A year later, one of the first "WeedEater" trimmers that came out.

That was all 16 years ago.

A Toro 44 inch walk behind. I used a 21 inch mower to get into gates that were to small for my Toro. I suggest a 36 inch walk behind for starting up.
