My local laws say 7am. My guys can't start till 8am (my policy). They clock in at 7:50 and are gone by 8.

This for me too. I have found you get less irritated neighbors if you are working later in the evening rather than earlier in the morning. These are my future customers. I would rather stay out until 6:00(or later) on some days than disrupt my rapport with the community.

As soon as you can see well enough to work for commercial properties. 7am for residential. I have a few properties that are either semi vacant or remote and the clients are up way before dawn that I can get going on super early though.

8am for me on residential properties. I would never go before because I wouldn't want any negative talk amongst neighbors because they could potentially be clients one day!

i wait until 10am every day but that's my choice. by then the dew is mostly dried up. that is one reason. another reason is alot of people work 2nd shift jobs and so forth so they may not wake up until 10am or later.

but i hate waking up early myself so i'm sure that has alot to do with it. :D

I fire up the mower at 8am and done by 5. I do this because I think working late stinks. I dont want to hear mowers when I am having dinner. I feel thats how customers think. The downfall is the dew. I try not to work sat but I think 10am is reasonable. The plan for next year is 4 10's so I may adjust it who knows.

there's a company been in business for years where i live. owner is in his 80's. he'll be mowing my neighbor's lawn at 7pm sometimes.

doesn't bother me. i'll take that over him mowing out there at 7am any day.

i've had to do it on occasion. when it rains 3 days straight or something. i'll be out there mowing until 8pm to catch up. doesn't happen that often though. normal day for me is 10am-3pm or 4pm. busy day is 10am-6pm.

i have started at 9am before if i had alot to do that day. :D
