What type of grass is this?

I just noticed that this grass is growing in a couple of the yards I mow and I am wondering what it is. It is a lighter color of green than the normal grass in these areas and it has a finer texture. I know the picture of it growing has some other grass and weeds it it but the one I am interested in has a narrow blade. If you can give me an idea what it is I would appreciate it.

It's nutsedge. Use Manage to control it. Hundred bucks a bottle. Will last a long time. I've used half a bottle in two seasons.
