I found some 7 conductor irrigation wire that looked nice, but would 18 gauge wire do the job? Is that something i should even consider? What do you recommend for re-wiring a trailer?

18 might be OK for lighting, but for brakes #12 or #14, and if you have an aux. battery charge line, #10 with a 30A circuit breaker off the truck battery.

Ok, i will just run larger wire. I have no battery or breakaway stuff on the trailer. While i am rewiring it should that be something i add? Also would it be helpful to add 2 more brakes to the front axle of the trailer? Currently only the rear has brakes.
    Thanks

I would go with some 14/6 wire. Check online or with your trailer dealer. They should be able to hook you up.
