Ok, so I hired a friend that is out of work and cannot collect unemployment. He is a great worker and knows his stuff in and out but the issue is he keeps interjecting himself in my business! For instance we roll up on a job and he starts talking to my customer like: we can do this for you and we can do that for you.......I had to explain to him the customer was already on a budget to begin with. Then just today we are driving to a patio job and he sees a homeowner shoveling a pile of mulch and he says watch this and jumps out and says to the guy we can do that for you blah blah blah. It just seemed cheesy to me. For # one we are already too busy and # two its not his place to do sales. Then he slipped today and said "we" can make good money off of a certain other job we were doing then split the labor 50%-50%???????? I do not need someone doing this. I just need a competent worker to run crews and such. Whats next doing side work using my stuff?? I just don't know if he can accept the circumstances. I mean he had a cushy state job 2 years ago while I was in the trenches taking grenades working till 0-dark thirty every night and didn't want a thing to do with it. I already made the mistake of telling him I made last year and he was amazed and since then he's all gung ho. What should I do?
