Recently I have come across a used 48" Exmark Metro. Four years old, belt drive, 17 hp Kawasaki, all brand new belts, fully serviced, no major problems. I tried it out and it ran fine, very responsive. The owner is asking $900 but will probably come down a bit. Do you think this is reasonable? Thanks for your time.

I feel that is a very good price for it. You can't go wrong. I would try first by telling him $750 cash and see what he says.

is he a landscaper? If he is, maybe he can come down a bit....if he is a homeowner, snatch it right away.

I'd never buy another belt drive again. I hated mine.

If you need a belt drive, snatch it up at that price...
