2000 Dixie Chopper 2500 City Slicker
    72" Deck
125 hrs. - no problems, just not much use

    Blue Book -
    Whole sale $4000
    Retail $5500

Can someone tell me how they arrive at blue book prices? These figures seem low for my machine. List (in 2000) was $10,000, but I paid ~9,000. I need to get more out of the sale if I am to break even.

    Thanks for your help.

The "blue book" prices are derived from the OPE Official Guide. The guide relies on independent dealers to send in pricing for used equipment. Dixies can be expected to loose about 40% of list price after 3 years if they're in excellant shape and you sell it yourself. If you trade it in the price can go down to 50% of purchase price and lower.
