A friend of mine has a 94' or so Bobcat Ransome with 1,700 Hours. Deck Baffles are gone, belts are shot, and the tires are pretty well gone as we'll. He parked it about 2 years ago and hasnt moved it sinced. When he parked it, it was running and being used for rough cutting. What do you guys feel its worth? He said $650.00, but im wondering what all will need to be done in order to use it as a back up. New Baffles, Belts, Blades, Tires, etc.. I'm thinking i'd be better to buy one already running, but then again $650.00 seems reasonable. Your opinions would be helpful.

    Thanks !

    This is just my opinion....

The mower isn't worth the gas that it takes to pick it up. There are plenty of parts to wear out over the years and more than likely they are worn out. The mower has been sitting for 2 years with the old gas and oil in it. I've picked up an old walk behind or two and they just aren't worth messing with.

There is no way it is worth $650. How much will it take to get it running and that is a lot of hours on an old walk behind. I would let someone else deal with that headache and you get to keep a friend. Let him fix it and get it running then it might be worth $650.
