hate to sound like a newbee but i have a mum install and i need to know what i should charge. i was thinking about 3x the mums cost. ex. 100 plants times 4.00= $400 times 3 = $1200 dollars. is this a good number or should i go higher or lower?

3x cost is a bit high unless you're buying wholesale, plus 3x is also a little high for planting 100 of them.

FME, if i told someone it would be $1100-1200 to plant those mums, they will say absolutely not! however if you say $950 they say OK! most people have an imaginary budget of $1k for projects around here. Thats almost always the magic number.

if the bed is already installed then there is less work, mulch or needle covering? should take 4 hours with two men. price of mums plus 25%, factor in the distance to the job at $50/hr round trip for your truck and figure 8 manhours x $30.00 or your rate. 240.00 to 100.00 trip and setup plus the mums looks like $170.00 if they cost a third of $4. after you added 25%

510.00 would be the bottom price
