specifically when compared with the Mitsubitshis????
Can't comment on the Mit/Fuso, but I own a 95 UD 1400. The truck has been excellent. I bought the truck with 60,000 miles on it, and after 2 years have had one problem, the alternator went. I was able to replace it myself. The only real drawback is the cost of replacement parts. That alternator was $375 . Great truck, though. Good luck, Mike
Mitsubishi is superior over all other cabover. UD is a well built unit but if your looking for the Ferrari of C/O's go mitsubishi. Have you checked parts availibility?
Next time look into getting it rebuit. My GH alternator burned up when a helper left key turned all the way. The dealer wanted $225 for a new one, which I bought. Then I took the old one and got it rebuilt. I think it was around $60. Now I have a spare.
