I picked up a new yard this year and some of the shrubs seem to have a problem. There are lots of shrubs in the yard, all of them aren't hurting, just a select few. They don't seem to be getting worse, so I'm not sure if its a fungus. The pictures aren't great but do you have any idea? TIA.

Need some close ups of the leaves and branches. I cant tell for sure but I am thinking more insect than fungus. First thought was a bore weavle. But not sure if you have a problem in your area with them.

It looks like to me like root rot. I have had a tough time this year with camillias due to the excessive rain last fall, winter and spring. The symptoms look the same, a couple in a hedge row showing die back from the crown down. You might want to do a soil sample.

We've had a BIG BIG problem this year with japanese beetles around this area.. Mostly Rhodies, Burning Bushes, Spirea, and the rest of your flowering shrubs.. They really don't touch anything evergreen..

They may be a possibility? Hard to tell with 1,000's of possibilities..
