I start aprox. at the end of March (if it's warm)
Since I am new to this sight I was just curious.
we usually start the middle of april. start doing clean-ups and fixing spots in the lawn where the plows or snowblowers hit. last year we started cutting in the middle/end of may.
Middle of march on some turf some grasses will stay dormant till mid to first of april.
Mowing starts mid-late March here.
Middle to late april.
We have Bermuda grass here in Oklahoma that we have to scalp down to the lowest level before the season starts. We start that on the 1st of March.
Scalping is a dirty, nasty job. It takes a long time to do one yard.
Our regular "normal" mowing begins in mid April.
Every year is different, but we usually try to get out there the first week of April if at all possible, and start "jumpstarting" the grass with a good cut.
This far south we begin at the first of march, but I think the weeds and clover are going to let us start earlier. People will have 10 weeds sticking up in their yard and call 911 and that works for me, Ive got cabin fever BAD.
Usually start the 1st week of april. After the 1st cut it starts growing like crazy.
Usually last week of Feb.
