my supplier can't find any corn gluten does anyone know where i can buy some in the Midwest
there is going to be shortages this year, tortilla's are getting more expensive every day. and there are other "corn shortages" around there country.
As far as I know, it's almost impossible to get except in Feb. and Oct. I'm here in Austin, an enormous organic market, and I can't find it until those two months. Reason being, shelf life is very short and the product is ineffective except for those months b/c weeds are already established right now.
I don't think there is a "shelf life" for cgm.
I buy mine from a mill that makes cattle, horse and dog food. They'll have it year round.
Nutrients PLus carries/sells two corn gluten products. Nutrients Plus CG 9-0-0 and CG Plus 6-2-3.
Nutrientsplus manufacture a fantastic product. They are woth checking out.

The nutrients plus link above does not work, remove the e at the end of plus.
If you can keep moisture and humidity away from it, it does pretty well. But, get it wet and it can get nasty really quick.
....off the wall question, how about some soy or palm kernel meal, is this enzyme exclusive, can it be added to compost??
good question. I'd be interested in the answer also.
Here's a link I found about corn gluten meal used in compost. Believe it or not, it was a highschool science project.
