I have both and don't see much of a difference. Any other opinions?
Toro's Solid 7GA Turbo Force Deck with the Adj Baffle System..
I think there the same except the ultra cut deck .5 inch deeper.
been wanting to star a thread like this myself because i have heard some pros and cons on this.
i have been selling exmark for 12 years and the trivantage deck
has ruled on commercial mowers. then along came the ultracut
.50" deeper, better roller gussets, the idlers for the belts have roller bearings not the bushings that wear out every year. and a few other upgrades.
now the trivantage...well its the trivantage tested and tough
same deck used for many years
i have had some complaints on the ultracut.i have a guy who mowes with nothing but turftracers with the 60" deck the guy buys one every year. he told me when he puts them side by side
the trivantage will leave a better stripe, discharge better, and cuts in the wet better than the ultracut he dont like the new mower as well as his old ones
i also have sold the city where i live exmark lazers, and they have both decks. they love the new deck but they run the
ultravacs all the time they say it has better vac with the new deck
than the trivantage
some guys that cut for a cemertary company use both decks with
mulch kits they like the new deck better they say it keeps the grass suspended longer and cuts it up finer
my own opinion? i like the trivantage better i have 8 acres to cut
and with the trivantage i seem to be able to do more balls to the wall mowing without boging down i dont know why but i will be doing an end users school i jan and plan to ask one of exmarks
tech guys i will post a follow up then.
funny, i thought he said EXMARK in the subject.
sawman--I call that a great review. many thanks!!!
Yup, thats the info that I was looking for too, thanks.
Here in connecticut the try cuts the dandylions better but the ultra cuts faster and handles the deeper grass better and double blades.
Overall I'll put our trivantage up against the ultracut and the ultracut kicks the pants off the trivantage.
The trivantage deck will need to be scraped 4 times before the ultracut gets logged up.
We run them side by side on the same properties.............
23 horse lazerHP 52"(trivantage)
23 horse lazer 60"(ultracut)
12.5 horse metro 36"(trivantage)
The trivantage does do better striping.........
The trivantage does discharge farther........
The trivantage is TERRIBLE in heavy wet grass..........
Ive used both and id hate to live on the diffence of quality of cut
