which one

    which one of these would be best for all this planting trees hauling mulch unloading grass and grading yards and prep work i am thinking about a backhoe or a skidsteer the backhoe is a 310sg and the skid steer is a bobcat s300

    I think the back hoe digs up the turf less?? Am i correct??

    $40K is an aweful lot to spend on a machine if your not going to be using it daily. A skidsteer would be better though. :eek:

    skidsteer gets my vote

    Backhoe will tear up the area big time.

    A tractor is better for finish grading, does less damage to lawn, skid steer is better at rough grading, can tear up a lawn when turning. I have a small Kubota tractor. I used it as a power wheel barrow more than anything. It cut my mulch job time in half. I just scoop, go across the yard, dump and go back. You couldn't do that with a skid loader.
