I called my local dealer and they handnt sold any of the big 35hps but just said most leaned towards the 26 kaw.

    STT61V-35BVAC- vanguard
    STT61V-26CH-EFI - kohler
    STT61V-26DFI - kawasaki

    experience welcomed.

    Thank in advance

Just about everywhere. the 26 is under powered for that size machine in most cases, though not all. Spring growth rush, EOW lawns, mulching grass and/or leaves, hills etc., all will be better with the 35.

But I own both the 35 vanguard and 26 liquid cool Kawasaki and the 35 is a different animal. The Kawasaki is ok for average growth but anything beyond that and it lacks power.

The 37hp Vanguard EFI is gonna be a strait beast. I'm waiting for my TT2 37hp EFI to come in...We sell the 37hp EFI/OGS on our Ferris 3200Z/320Z by the wayside over Kawasaki....they are fantastic engines...

We have scag tturf tigers and buy 35 vanguard and we have some with over 4000 hours on them which is rare you can usually get 2800-3400 before repower and hydros last about 2500 hours. We average 800-900 hours per machine per year so they are running hard all the time and very little problems.
