two or four stroke?? how much oil is in your gas?

 

2 stroke i believe not 100% sure about the gas mix it's the gas that was in them when i got them from my dad.

 

Yes you have 2 stroke and yes the smoke is from the fuel mix. Some of the oils smoke more than others and also the mix rate.

 

ok thanks thats what i was thinking just wanted to double check is there a "better" oil to use that won't cause this?

 

Opti-2 oil is what I use and it will cut down on the smoke

 

I use the stihl hp ultra (white bottle) in all my handhelds. I never had any issues with the regular stihl mix (orange bottle) but the white bottle stuff has some better qualities.

 

Wet air filters? I've left my equipment outside and after an overnight downpour they had no power. After checking I found soaked air cleaners. Just took them off untill I could get the jobs done.

 

just went to the local shop today and got some stihl orange bottle oil and it helped alot a lil on start up but not much after thanks for all your help!
