Who do customers think trees are cheaper in the fall.

    Gettin sick of hearing the same thing year after year ....

    "trees are cheaper in the fall"
    "nurseries are getting rid of them before winter"

    Like they are almost free.

    Well i sell them cheaper 30% cheaper. But it helps that i barter my trees and shrubs

    Well, no one is giving them away, but we can generally get some stuff discounted.

    If we can get our normal labor rate, and still mark up the material the same percentage, I'll sell the plantings a little cheaper.

    I know one of my suppliers sells them considerably less in the fall to get rid of their nursery stock. They still have their farm stock though.

    i never discount any plants to clients even if i get a tree thats reg at my cost of $100 for $15. more proft for me.
