i saw a flyer in my mail box today one of the services was winter evergreen protection .is this a chemical to spray on the bushes or is it like fabric that covers shrubs from heavy snow fall.
from My understanding it is either a webed fabric to keep the trees from breaking branches or rope around the tree holding the trees branchis erect. This keeps the snow from breaking branches and drooping them.
We have done both, ie. mechanically protected shrubs/roses with burlap, and sprayed Wilt Pruf on Rhodies and such. Spraying wiltpruf was like spraying ice cold maple syrup.
We slowly fazed these services out though.
