Who's completly ready for the 2006 Season? I'm about 75% ready My Advertising peices are ready, the mowers were ready when I parked them, the trucks just need to be inspected.

The only thing I need to do is draft some renewal/Spring letters, and start advertising in another month and a half. There is really nothing left to do except wait. There won't be anything new just more work (Hopefully!):)

Who is not ready, who has not even thought about getting ready?

I am ready to go. The weather has been really mild this January here, and it has felt like spring is right around the corner. Also, I got a new trailer, and am very excited to use it. I would just like to pick up a few more accounts.

I make it a point to be ready to roll by the end of January, just so everything goes smoothly once March hits.

I just can't wait to get back to work, and I want to see how my new marketing strategy works.

I've been working on my marketing plan and planing the next year. Just started righting out an actual business plan. Everything for advertising is lined up I just have to order the flyers/post-it-notes and give the local papers the date I want my ad's to start up again. I'm still debating when to start advertising though. I still need to move my trailer in my garage and fix some things on it and build the b/p blower rack. Other then that, just get all the equipment out of storage and I'm mowing again.

I'm still enjoying sitting around though, spring can take its time to get here still :D

LOL...I think you guys in the NE are getting all lathered up over nothing with this warm January we're having.:nono:

February almost always brings a boatload of snow (Nor'easters included) and like I have always said, March is the most unpredictable month of the year here in the NE...it can be in the teens one day and 60's the same week. Once thing is for sure, it has been a very mild January.

My equipment has been ready since it was put away but it will not be needed until the end of March. Still alot of winter weather to come. I think its 50 today but tomorrow the guessers are calling for snow and tommorrow night heavy snow. Then warm again.:dizzy: February and March have always been snowy months in the upper midwest so let it snow.payup

I am ready to start mowing grass again. I have not completly stopped yet. I did a mulch job 2 weeks ago and did a leaf clean up last Saturday. I will be nice to start seeing the stripes in the lawn again. Doing another mulch job this weekend and then I think I am done (until someone else calls).

I do hope it snows, I think we'll get dumped on in February. I think it's good to be ready to roll early, because when you rush to get your advertising and everything together in the Spring things don't come out as well. Personally I like to be "sitting Back Ready" if you will.

My crews finally finished all of our regular accounts fall clean-ups today as well as some 1X jobs that called. We now have to deal w/ all of the downed trees/branches from Sunday/Monday storm. Next week I have about 3 days of odds -n- ends to do. Then I will be prepping equipment & sending out the '06 contracts. If I'm lucky, I may get 2 weeks to rest, but as Rod said, we'll probably get a snow storm or 2 in february.

Same here in the middle of the country,I'm all ready as a turn key operation, serviced and dialed in but you can't get too excited about this mild weather. It's fun to dream though.

I'm ready to Rock n' Roll! I have one (1) mower in the shop getting some warranty work completed. The new trailer is ready, the old trailer, the trimmers, blowers, saws and other mowers. I'm keeping quite busy with miscellaneous landscaping and clean-ups since we are having an exceptionally warm winter, but there is nothing like cutting grass.

I've been looking for a new (used) truck, as well. I'm not in much of a hurry for this. Why take on a pmt. if I don't need it until March - April.

i've been doing alot of door to door calling with my new brochures!! i got about 70 1/4 acre lots to areate this spring!! Theres alot of new housing additions going up on my side of town with yards already 2 years old. I still have alot of additions i havent checked out yet! plus picked up about 5 new mowing accounts. Each yard i charge 50-90 bucks a pop! Corner lots i charge 80-$90 cause there usually bigger lots. So i got my mowers, trimmers, blowers and my sweet pluger ready to rocknroll this spring!!
