I was on my first yard to day, whistling and mowing as usual. Then I realized that I need time to warm up before Im good at getting close to things with my ZTR.
I was going up the side of the driveway, and I came up to the morning newspaper. It was all wrapped up nice in a plastic coverd roll. The paper seemed extra big today too. It was at the edge of the driveway, so I thought I would just mow around it.
So I think im so good that I can get really close to anything I want and everything will be fine...........not today.
All of the sudden the left blade grabbed some of the plastic covering, and in a flash, TTTTHHHHHWWWWAAAAAACCCCKKKK!!!!
The large morning news paper was shredded confetti across the front yard.
I couldn't' believe I just did that. What a mess. And the grass was wet too. I picked up as much of it as I could with my hands. Then I started mowing the grass in one direction, blowing everything toward the bushes on the other side of the yard. Then I re-cut it again at a higher hight. When I was done, you couldn't' tell that there was a shredded morning newspaper scattered across the front yard.
I never did tell the customer. I bet the paper boy is going to catch heck.
