Great replies guys! What are your favorite seed mixes?
Iam with barefoot only i top dress than slit seed over top now that works great
Does your compost vary or do you use the same material on every application? If so....what do you use and where do you get the material?
Nugent on River Road ask for Bones tell him Barefoot the compost man sent you. HOWEVER Throughbred in Lexington has some potent OMRI compost 2 types from horse bedding I have tested - double the price but very sweet stuff. I'm trying to fiqure a way to get somebody to carry it here in Louisville. Might be me! Stay tuned to the this Bat Channel
Depends on the situation.
High traffic areas and larger open spaces I tend to use a turf blend. Has a mix of Perenial Rye, Fescue, and KBG.
High quality lawns I prefer to try and get a stand of strait blue-grass, or have a sod farm cut it.
In shaded areas I use a shade mix composed mostly of fine-leaf fescues that can maybe withstand the shaded areas.
