I've always said no. Especially if you have a substantial mower to pick up stuff. The smaller vacs don't have any exceptional capacity anyway, and a mower will shred it up better as it vacuums it.

The walk behind vacuums come in really handy if you're needing to pick up in areas where you can't or don't want to get a bagging ZTR in. Prime example would be if you need to pick up debris off of paved/hard surfaces or you are wanting to pick up cans, bottles, baby diapers, cigarette butts, or anything you don't want to run through a lawnmower.

Also, if you do shrub trimming or garden bed cleanup. The vacuum and hose kit will save you time versus doing it by hand, rake or tarp, and of course you can't drive a bagging ZTR into a garden bed. If you have customers who's needs fit a walk behind vacuum's features they will make you money. If you don't, they won't.

Please let me know if there are any other questions I can answer for you.
