I'm wondering if anyone knows why some ZTR has a factory spec 25 micron filter and others have 40 micron filter? It seems that in some cases the pumps and wheel motors are the same from one brand ZTR to another. What would be wrong with using a 25 micron filter where the manufacture specs a 40 micron....other than warranty issues? Seems to me a 25 micron would be better but may need changed more often. Can anybody shed some light on this?? Thanks

25 may cause too much back pressure where a 40 is called for.

Good chance they just use the specs from whatever filter they buy from their filter manf. Example- when JD orders filters from FRAM with their the JD paint job, it's going to magically have the specs of that particular "off the shelf" FRAM filter.
