I am tired of mowing a steep hill on the side of my house could If I were to plant some of these and leave the grass Which one would win or takeover? Also any other ideas would be appreciated I do like the look of some Ivys.

You will always have some of the fescue as weeds. However, You can overspray most grounds with a herbicide that contains fusilade (Poast).

Or use casaron to get rid of the weeds too.
