    Hello all,

46 yr. old guy here looking to start lawn & landscaping next spring. (need extra income, college tuition, etc...)

I work full-time, 12 hr. night shift on a modified schedule that allows me 2 & 3 days off during the week. (2-3-2 type of schedule).

I plow for a few people now and will offer them my services. I will continue reading & searching this great web site for all the info I need.

Just thought I'd introduce myself, but I do have one question -

Which landscape material is better, mulch or stone ?
I have personally used stone all around my house, don't want to have to
re-new it every couple of years, etc.

    Thx,
    Scott :usflag:

Depends on the situation and what the landscape calls for.

If stone is installed properly, and maintained with a leaf blower weekly, then it can last up to 10-20 years depending on site conditions.

    Good Luck
